ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING MEANINGFUL AND REWARDING THIS SUMMER?

WBPOA is once again participating in the FoTTSA volunteer Water Sampling Program. Volunteers are needed to collect samples once a week for nine weeks Sunday evening or early Monday morning. Volunteers wade into the bay to a depth from a metre to a metre and a half to take samples of the water. Volunteers then fill out a short form and submitt it with the sample. Samples are collected and delivered to a drop off location that is to be decided. A FoTTSA volunteer will collect the samples and take them to a Simcoe County lab for analysis and measurement. Results are provided the next day.
If you are are interested in volunteering  or would like more information please contact info@wbpoa.org
Volunteers are welcome to participate according to their availablility - a few times or all nine weeks!

ACCESSIBLE WATER FILL STATION

In December, Tiny Township announced the installation of water fill stations throughout the township, one of which is located at Woodland Beach Park. This a place to fill your personal water bottles. More information and a list of the water fill stations throughout Tiny can be found here.

NEWS REGARDING CAPITAL GAINS TAX

On April 16, 2024, it was announced that the capital gains tax on amounts over $250,000 will rise on or after June 25, 2024. This will negatively impact many property owners who sell or transfer ownership of their cottages to the next generation. Find more information from FOCA here.
